Testimonials – What client’s are saying
“Julie Mills-Watson is a gem! I came to Julie seeking relief from a rare chronic pain condition that developed after I suffered a broken wrist. From the moment I met Julie, I trusted her. I knew I was in the hands of a gifted massage therapist, as well as someone who cares deeply about the well-being of her clients. Julie works with her hands, but also her heart. Her massages are among the best I have ever received, and the healing benefits from her work have spilled over into all areas of my life. Simply being in her presence is a gift, and everything else she brings to the massage table is a bonus.
Recently, I made a move away from the area, and to my great dismay, there is no Julie Mills-Watson here! But, I am fortunate that for several years I had the privilege of seeing her on a regular basis and reaping the rewards of her expertise, her healing touch, her kindness, wit, wisdom and integrity. If there was an official Julie Mills-Watson fan club, I would be president.”

I’d like to share my thoughts about my wonderful massage therapist, Julie Mills-Watson, at Body of Health. Julie’s business is properly named “Body of Health” because her primary focus is helping her clients create and maintain a body of health.
This is what Julie is all about. As one of Julie’s clients, I have learned so much more about my body, for Julie not only does good therapy on my body, she gently educates me in the process of good nutrition, exercises and stretches, and the connection between my mind and my body.
I am able to relax and work with my body instead of working against it. When I am in need of lymph drainage, Julie calmly and quietly performs that function, for she is lymphedema certified. When I have injured myself or have strained muscles, she knows what muscle groups or connecting tissues to work on to alleviate my pain.
I always feel better when I leave than when I went into her office. Last week I went in with a persistent headache that had begun the previous evening. I felt awful and almost called to cancel my appointment.
Julie began doing some work and within five minutes that headache was gone and, the miraculous thing to me was that it never returned! She is such a great therapist. Julie is not a masseuse. She is a massage therapist. She is much like a physical therapist who has expertise in the various exercises you would need to get fully functional again after a surgery.Julie is helping me, through her therapies and gentle health instruction, to become the healthy person I want to be and establish good health practices for maintaining that health. Julie is skilled, gentle, friendly, and always makes you feel comfortable and important in her presence, as she focuses totally on you in a calming, authoritative manner.
At Body of Health you get much more than you pay for.

I want to thank you for being an integral part of my long term program of better health. Your knowledge and expertise in your field is unsurpassed! With your assistance I have been able to live a lifestyle of being revived and rejuvenated. How can I thank you enough, your experience of such a wide range of therapies and remedies has contributed to my body, mind and spirit. It is amazing how your knowledge had touched me in so many ways, through diet, massage, exercise, eating more fruits and vegetables, drinking more water, and the extreme value of being in a calm and relaxed state in this very trouble world. You take better health to the depths all the way around. If only everyone could be as lucky as I to have you as their personal therapist, the world would truly be a happier, healthier, caring place to live! Never forget—-you are the best!!!
Sincerely, Linda F.
“After having shoulder surgery in 2009 my recovery was slow. I had a lot of pain and deep burning close to the incision. Physical therapy was providing no relief and my mobility was not improving. The therapist nor the surgeon thought much about it and said to be patient, that it would just take time. When Julie said she thought she could help me with the scar tissue and lymph drainage, I thought why not. After seeing her one time that pain was gone and I had more mobility immediately. I went back to PT and they could not believe my range of motion had increased by 30%! I set up a plan with Julie and PT and my recovery sped up quickly. ”

Julie is truly an artist in the field of massage. Julie is an animal lover as well as a healer. Julie has such a healing touch, and gives an amazing massage! Without a doubt, the best I have ever had. Julie is truly blessed with a great gift. I carry the uplift well into several busy days of walking dogs, and scooping kitty boxes.

“Julie Mills-Watson has helped my condition more than anyone. I am 56 years old and have had bilateral lymphedema for about fifteen years. It has been a gradual condition, worsening as the years have gone by. My legs are quite swollen, as well as under my arms. I have had many tests done and there has never been a solution/treatment decided upon for my condition. It has baffled many doctors. All they have told me, for the most part, is to wear compression garments. That is only a temporary slight fix and does not provide a cure or any long term relief.
With the lymphatic massage and drainage techniques that Julie has used for me, I have seen such relief in my condition. The swelling had gone down some after only a couple of treatments. After seeing her for several treatments, my legs are very much improved. My legs used to be pulled tight and heavy. They are now more loose and pliable and feel as if many pounds have been taken off of them. With Julie’s techniques, the lymph fluid is made to flow away from the bottom of the limbs and get to where it is supposed to drain away from those areas.
Before I found Julie’s practice online and read much information on lymphatic massage and drainage, I had just about lost hope for any improvement of my condition. I was emotionally affected and close to depression over this. Julie has changed all of that for me. She has shown through her knowledge and specialized training that her treatment is the hope I was looking for. If it wasn’t for Julie’s knowledge, expertise and confidence in her field, I would most likely have spent the rest of my life in this condition. She has given me hope and a better quality of life, now and for my future.
I will be always grateful to her for her ability to improve and correct so much of my lymphedema, when no one else knew what to do with me. She not only is an accomplished expert in her field, but she also has such caring and concern for her patients. She truly wants to help everyone she treats and shows her true persona with every visit to her — a kind, helpful. loving soul. Thank you, Julie, with all of my heart.”

“I wanted to connect you with a person I am using for a unique part of my recovery program. Since my last chemo treatment and my subsequent journey towards recovery I have enlisted the services of a Ms. Julie Mills-Watson of the Body of Health group ( www.bodyofhealthandlife.com ). The reasons I sought out her services were twofold: 1) I found the whole process to recovery was more difficult to chart than I anticipated; and 2) the constant management of the disease and the resulting stress on my mind and body was heavier than I was aware during the treatment period.
As I started trying to chart out my recovery path, I found I needed to enlist a more holistic approach than I had before in any of my training. It wasn’t just about getting into shape with lifting or running anymore; it was more about re-building a healthier physiological and psychological base, focusing on the whole body (and mind) so that I could rebuild my muscles, my endurance and stamina, integrate sound nutrition into my diet, and most important to find a resonance in my life with the changes cancer left behind (my new normal). Although the internet and other information sources are available, it was still difficult to find the “right” tools to utilize in order to reach my new normal. And candidly, I found it difficult to trust most gyms, most nutritionists, or therapists and others because most didn’t seem to know what I had been through or how to really differentiate their services to accommodate my needs. Consequently, I began to build a recovery program for myself that enlisted the help of trusted people who could help me re-build “me” emotionally, physically, psychologically and spiritually.
As one tool I chose to use to aid my re-building from the disease and treatment, Julie presented a specialized massage therapy and a simple healing touch that is helping to bring about a whole body healing. Her training and personal experience with cancer brings a good understanding of the disease, the risk, benefits and the contraindications of the medications that I was taking (and their effects on my body). The therapy is not the normal type of massage because it is more body work than squeezing and moving tissue. In addition, I always found Julie taking caution to my condition and illness that is inherent to cancer. It is basically a body work that is designed specific to the needs of people who are dealing with cancer or cancer treatments. The main focus is to enhance healing while doing no harm. The different techniques that are integrated will boost the immune system, strengthen compromised organs, enhance the feelings of well being and lessen depression.
Although I have not been one to adhere to many holistic regimens in the past, this service has contributed to my recovery by helping me to address the symptoms of both cancer treatment and the disease during my re-building process. Please accept this email as my letter of reference for Julie Mills-Watson and a recommendation for your group to consider her work as a part of the re-building structure you deliver to post-treatment patients. As the participant of my own “pilot” program, I can speak to what works for me in my efforts and that she plays an important role in my “Council of Many” whom I have enlisted to help me in my re-building journey.
Thank you for your consideration in this matter-”

To Whom It May Concern:
My name is Colby Watts, and I am a 5+ year survivor of Stage IV Colorectal cancer (metastases to the lymph nodes, liver, and lungs), and
I am writing this letter on behalf of Julie Mills-Watson at Body of Health massage practice in Snellville, GA. I have been a patient of Julie’s practice for approximately one month, and she and her associates have provided me with a level of care that has really changed my quality of life and my approach to dealing with cancer treatments. Here are some examples where she has really helped me:
- Cancer-specific Diagnostics: Through diagnostic massage, Julie was able to point out existing and potential cancer-specific problems that would need to be dealt with either at the Body of Health practice or at my oncologist’s office. A couple of examples were blockages of the lymph system and circulatory irregularities (such as inhibiting scar tissues, especially in the abdominal region), both of which could be solved with an intensive massage curriculum.
- Cancer-specific Pain Relief: While Julie has admitted that she cannot do much to help my neuropathy (painful temporary or permanent nerve impairment due to chemotherapy), she has dramatically decreased the nausea, headaches, joint pain, and muscle pain associated with intensive chemotherapies. She is also working on breaking up scar tissue from my various surgeries in order to increase flow in the blood, lymph, etc. systems.
- Other Pain Relief: My Primary Care Provider, orthopedist, etc. were unable to diagnose the specific causes of a sciatica-like condition that has been causing me constant and severe pain. Julie was able to immediately find the offending nerves and muscles and provide relief. We agree that continuing therapy is important for an excellent long-term outcome.
- Lymph System Management: In worst-case scenarios, the cancer itself can spread to the lymph nodes. In other cases, as I understand it, the lymph nodes are just inordinately taxed by the task of removing toxins (chemotherapies, etc.) from the body. I have been subject to both, and am grateful that Julie has been able to “flush” my lymph nodes to both remove uncomfortable local swelling and to promote healing.
Again, I am pleased to be able to write this letter of reference for Julie Mills-Watson and the staff at Body of Health massage practice in Snellville, GA. She is a highly professional, gentle, and knowledgeable healer, and I heartily recommend her to anyone who specifically needs cancer-related massage therapy to address lymph node-related problems, scar tissues, and general pain or discomfort often associated with cancer treatments.
Please do not hesitate to contact me (through Julie, who has my contact information) with any questions or comments.

In November, 2010, I was diagnosed with breast cancer, and in the year that followed with chemo, surgeries, radiation, physical therapy, etc., I began having swelling problems in my left upper arm/breast area/lower shoulder blade. This resulted in much discomfort and these areas being very tight, hard and uncomfortable. There’d be days that I’d need to take prescription pain medication to deal with it. I was TOTALLY AWARE of these areas every minute, of every day!! If this were to become part of my “new normal,” I knew I’d have to learn to live with it, but didn’t know if I could get used to the constant discomfort. So before settling with what was going on, I decided to see if there was something else out there that could help me feel better.
So with quite a bit of online research, I found Body of Health and Julie Mills-Watson. All I can say at this point is – THANK YOU GOD – I found someone who makes me feel so much better, and has also done even more to help my range of motion. I’ll continue to see Julie as long as I can; as she is definitely helping my problem areas feel SO much better!!!! I’ve been going once a week since about the beginning of December and Julie has done such an excellent job on my problem areas – I’m so much happier now than I was before!
I may always have some swelling problems in that area because of missing lymph nodes, but words just simply cannot express how much Julie has done for me – and I no longer have to take prescription pain medication for the discomfort. Yes, there are times when I still have swelling in that area, but it’s so much easier to deal with, and this is something I can get used to as part of my “new normal” and I also don’t constantly think about that area like I did before.
I cannot express how happy I am that I found Julie and Body of Health; it has truly made a difference in my life for the better. I would recommend Body of Health to anyone.

I just wanted to thank you again for your service and the wisdom that you shared with me. I noticed that every time I come in contact with you or Body of Health, amazing things happen to me!
I stopped by yesterday to purchase the Foam Roller Bar, which I did, and when I got home I looked online to see what else I could do with it, and I was overwhelmed by what I saw. I started doing a lot of stretches and other exercises…. from head to toe.
Julie, you are a diamond in the rough. We are so fortunate to have someone like you in Gwinnett County to sincerely help us taking better care of ourselves.
Thank you so much for changing my life and helping me achieve a better understanding of my health. I can’t wait to visit you soon.
Thanks again!
